Zefeng Audio (New Zeyu Enterprise) Becomes General Agent in China for JL Audio, the Global King of Bass

JL Audio has never followed the mass-market route. From the outset it has aimed at high-end, professional users, pursuing advanced technology and a premium price, and it has won wide recognition among AV enthusiasts around the world. JL Audio is now the company with the largest subwoofer sales in the world, selling in more than 50 countries.
Look through the North American AV magazines and you will find the highest praise for JL Audio subwoofers; Home Theatre and Perfect Vision even chose them as "product of the Year." For a long time JL Audio products were supplied only to the North American market. At the CES show, seeing the cutaway display of the Gotham — an enormous transformer of about ten inches, with craftsmanship so fine — already left me lost in admiration!

JL Audio was founded in 1975 by two partners, Lucio Proni and Mr. James. Their first products were home speaker cabinets and home speaker drivers. This business brought them profit, so they opened a retail store in Hollywood, Florida. In 1977 they set up a company called Speaker Warehouse, which handled speaker repair, crossover parts and speaker cabinet sales. In the late 1970s, as car audio flourished, Speaker Warehouse began selling the earliest car audio products. Because Mr. Lucio specialized in speakers, they started manufacturing car audio speakers and subwoofer cabinets. In 1980 JL Audio entered car audio products; the first series was called Power Wedges, a lightweight full-range speaker cabinet that was very popular in Florida at the time. JL Audio was the first company to manufacture speaker cabinets for cars. Speaker Warehouse went on to develop many products, and Mr. Lucio tried many high-end and home speakers in cars, but the results were rather limited, because none of these products were designed for the car interior. So Mr. Lucio designed the 8W2 mounted in a cabinet — an 8-inch woofer whose performance surpassed that of large speakers. In 1989 seven Speaker Warehouse vehicles qualified to take part in the first IASCA finals. That competition was a turning point for Speaker Warehouse and JL Audio, earning four first places and the Best Performance award. In the years that followed they won many first-place honors. In 2001 they launched JL Audio power amplifiers, which drew a great response for both product quality and appearance, with sales growing day by day. In 2002 came the top-of-the-line W7 series, with numerous technology patents and outstanding performance that once again drew the attention of enthusiasts around the world. In 2000 the American magazine Inside Track rated all manufacturers, surveying 2,000 car audio retail stores on nine items in total. JL Audio took first place in seven of them: 1. product quality and reliability / 2. inventory turnover / 3. service quality; repair returns / 4. profit / 5. real-time order management / 6. marketing strategy and special support / 7. special Eastern-style business planning.
