SNAIL POWER was founded in Milan, Italy in 1995 by Steven, a professional audio designer. The first product, the U1 living-room cinema system, launched the same year and was covered widely for its "small cabinet, big output" approach.

The name comes from the brand mark and from the design philosophy: cabinets small enough to disappear into a ceiling or wall, with only the grille visible, without compromising sound. The group was founded as an audio team in 2007, incorporated in 2012 and added Zefeng in 2014. It employs more than 50 senior audio engineers with over 15 years of experience and delivers cinema systems to more than 20,000 households every year.
